In early 2020, I faced my biggest test yet: transitioning from globe-trotting expat to single mum in a new city, back in Australia, leaving behind a life—and a soul tribe—that truly felt like mine. At 32, starting over as my baby grew inside me, I found myself surrounded by voices telling me what wouldn’t work, how much I lacked, how I should fit in.
I knew what I had to do. Yet, being genuinely positive was tougher than ever. I got caught up in thinking, maybe it's not for me anymore. I shut down for a while. Frustrated. Angry. Ashamed.
But years spent navigating life in cities like Tampa, Makati, Toronto, and London taught me: you build resilience through action, curiosity, and connection, not through waiting for conditions to be perfect. I reached out to people who asked “How can I help you get there?” instead of “If I were you I'd do this...” I leaned on daily practices—little rituals of self-trust and discipline—that helped me tune out naysayers, listen to my needs, and focus on solutions.
And guess what? I started showing up for myself and taking action for the life I actually wanted. Today, I’ve created options, balance and real freedom of mind.
I've affirmed that even in less-than-ideal situations where 'how' is unclear, unshakeable belief in yourself is what empowers you to live on your own terms. 🙌

Prior to coaching I wasn’t the type of person to share my emotions. I’d gone to a doctor for my trouble sleeping, waking up through the night - it came down to stress and overthinking. I struggled with not being able to share my opinions or thoughts, focusing on all the what if’s and worst scenarios instead of trying. I’d never done any kind of coaching before and I wanted to be open with my emotions and believe in myself more.
Working with Julie I learnt a lot about myself, who I am, telling her things I’ve never told anyone else. It was nice to have someone listen, when I’m always the listener. Before these sessions I’d started my YouTube channel, but there were so many gaps. Since I started the sessions my mind has been clear to focus and work on my passions, a lot more consistent and active even with a full time job!
